自分に対するメモでさえも、将来の自分がどうそれを読むかを想像する。その想像しないで書いているとしたら、それは「文字を書いている」だけで、「文章を書いている」のではない。否、文字でさえ、その形を他者はどう捉えるかを予測して書かなければ、記号の意味がなくなってしまう。世にある悪筆・悪文というのは、ようするに想像力の欠如から生まれるものだ。
